A jewelry box is the one place where the things that only matter to you are kept together.
Three earrings that no longer have pairs. A watch that stopped years ago. A ticket stub. Nothing in there is worth much, and nobody would let it go.
When we went looking for a good box to keep those things in, we found two kinds: lacquered boxes that feel hollow when you lift the lid, and cabinetmakers' pieces at a thousand dollars. Very little in between.
Wren & Walnut is the in-between. We're a small company run from Paris. Every model in the shop was chosen one at a time, for the things you notice after a year rather than in a photo: the weight of the lid, the depth of the tray, hinges that stay tight, a lining that won't catch a chain.
We're plain about what each piece is made of. Heirloom boxes are mostly solid walnut and cherry. Cabinets are walnut veneer over engineered wood. Travel cases are vegan leather or velvet. It says so under every title, before you have to ask.
To keep prices fair, orders are prepared and shipped from our partner warehouse overseas, with U.S. import duties already paid. Shipping is free, with no minimum.
